Ulcerative Colitis and REMICADE

If you’re taking medication to control your ulcerative colitis and still experience symptoms, including cramping, weight loss, fatigue, and frequent, loose, or bloody stools, your ulcerative colitis (UC) may not be as under control as it could be.

Take control

You can expect more. REMICADE is the only approved treatment of its kind for ulcerative colitis. It blocks the effects of TNF, a substance in your body believed to play an important role in the inflammatory process of ulcerative colitis.

  • REMICADE can reduce the signs and symptoms, induce and maintain remission, promote intestinal healing, and reduce or stop the need for steroids in patients with moderate to severe UC who haven't responded well to other therapies. UC is a serious and chronic disease. While REMICADE will not cure UC, it is proven to help many people get real control over their symptoms.
  • In addition to helping control UC symptoms, ongoing regular therapy with REMICADE has actually been shown to heal the damage to the intestinal lining caused by ulcerative colitis. Individual results may vary.

If you have moderate to severe ulcerative colitis and your disease is still active despite treatment with conventional therapies, ask your gastroenterologist if REMICADE is right for you.

Individual results may vary. Talk to your doctor to see if REMICADE is right for you. Please read the Medication Guide and discuss any questions or symptoms with your doctor.
